Publishing scientific paper on DVB?

DVB ?!?!?!

Dear all

I am begineer at studying DVB, I read some of the transmission standards about DVB-C, DVB-S, DVB-T from www.dvb.org
I would have a question from professionals. whether DVB is a scientific challenge or just has become a commercial problem. I wanna to choose it for my university project, and do some implementations on that. Do you think I can publish paper from my project?

Now DVB is well established technology, with large support from manifacturers and vendors. If there is some problems, most of them are " commercial" If you wanna do some researche job, probably you must look to so called " IP oriented technogies". This, in my opinion is the next step in broadcasting technogies.

I have searched in IEEE papers and I found that recent research is about Channel estimation, Channel coding and COFDM. Also I think most of papers returns to DVB-T and DVB-H. Another subjest that I have thaught about it is DVB Implementing on FPGA?

What do you think about these topics?
And I don't know what Is IP oriented technologies? could you tell me about that?

Technologies like DVB-S/T and FPGA based DVB equipment are present. They are curently on the market, for several years already. If you wanna publish paper , in my opinion you must consider emerging subject like DVB-H.

could you tell me about that?

With IP oriented I mean IP based. Such technology is DVB-H. I am not specialist in the field, but it is a obvious, that IP became foundation for data communication of all kind - data, audio, video , etc.

Now I understood IP based, and I searched again in IEEE, all the papers about DVB-H and Implementation on FPGA return to 2003 and 2004. So I think both of them are good for research. also IP and DVB coud be a good topic.
