ptm simulator

Hi,
I am trying to run SPICE simulations using cadence virtuoso tool (I think it is icfb 5.1.41 ) and i want to use models for transistos that i got from PTM (ASU) I wrote a perl script to convert from the formatt to an .m file. And the file seems to compile but it doesn't simulate (the transistor doesn't work as a transistor)

Any one have work with those things and have any idea?

Thanks
Shlomi

simulator lang=spice

what is Verilog-A? I want to do a spice simulation

spectre mosfet model files

In my IC5.141 there is no Spice simulator. Only spectre and spectreS. I thought IC5.141 doesn't support Spice already.
When you run simulation there were warning messages that some parameters are wrong and will be ignored in CIW (icfb window)?
Did you used "simulator lang = spice" statement in your model file?

modelfiles cadence

I am using spectreS simulator (not spice, sorry for the confussion, i don't understand already all the differences).

Yes, the simulator says that some parametrs are wrong and will be ingnored (warnings).

I am using "simulator lang = spice" ehough.
I changed the Version to 3.1 instead of 4.0 as it was and now the files seems to simulate. My question is why I cannot simulate it using the verison 4.0 (I guess this is the latest model , no? is it the same as BSIM4 ?)
I want to simulate with latest model so my concern is that changing to 3.1 i am not having all the model but the older one.

spice model file for 22nm

I don't know what is PTM(ASU).
But I can say BSIM4 and BSIM3 are differed from each other by some parameters. May be your original PTM(ASU) is based on BSIM3 model.

ptm spice models

PTM is progressive technology model. you can generate model of futuristic transistor (for 32nm or 22 nm process) I guess that this files are BSIM4 , but I can't have the icfg to understand BSIM4 I think it only understands BSIM3.

Anyone have any idea on how to use icfg with BSIM4 models. or how to convert the PTM genertaed files to .scs files?

here is an example of such a model : **broken link removed**

thanks
