Please I tried running a simulation on proteus. An ac source is connected to a step down transformer which is then connected to a bridge rectifier after which the dc output is filtered with a capacitor. I connected an led to indicate if the current was flowing , but it keeps bringing about these error.

[SPICE] transient GMIN stepping at time=0.590774
Simulation is not running in real time due to excessive CPU load

I have tried all sorts of things, but nothing is working. I need help.

Hi,

Why not simply posting your circuit?

Often with AC source and rectifier you just need to connect a very high resistor across one rectifier diode to prevent from floating (undefined) nodes.

Please find attached the circuit. Thank you gminEv.PNG

Hi,

* Connect primary side with 1G to GND
* Connect secondary side with 1G to GND

Klaus

Thanks a lot. I'll try it out
