[51] programming error with 89c52

Dear all
I program 89c51 on top853 programmer then it successfully programmed. But when I place new purchased 89c52 on programmer & write then it shows ''write...error at:0000:FF''.here wether the uc is defective or I have to change setting?please give reply.

Make sure you selected 89c52 and not 89c51.

Most of the time these types of messages generated due to old Zif-socket or Damaged microcontroller.

If you have another New AT89c52 then try that one or while programming gently press the microcontroller.
