Hello,

I need to build a driver board that should have the following capabilities:

1. I should be able to control the output voltage in small steps (I had a digital potentiometer in mind for this) through a computer

2. Should be able to swing from around 0 to 40/50V

3. Should be able to handle around 1 A load current. i.e. around 40 - 50W output power.

I am no electronics person and I have very little idea about the kind of design or components I should go for. Any help in chosing the components and design ideas will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Prathap
