It is a processed PXN 1503D power supply with the following parameters:
  • 0,2V to 15V with smoothly regulated output current in the range of 30mA to 4,5A
  • negative voltage 2,7 to 12V with 0,3A
  • thermal protection of heat sink
  • full optical control of the main power supply work state

The whole was made by method of blocks soldered into the base board. That gives the possibility to modify the device.

Ready board:

From the right/top rectifier, capacitors battery, auxiliary amplifier with the system of disconnecting the main power supply, power supply +12V thermostat block, high-current and low-current power supplies. Rectifier provides good filtration. Storey construction was used:

You should remember to reallocate the space well and that all the internal heat sinks are close to each other and in the axis of the existing ventilation. Rectifier bridge was made of single shottky diodes, at full output current it is slightly warm.

After assembly in housing, you can see mounting detail of external heat sink:

The power supply gives two voltages, because in the original one there are three sockets and four potentiometers on the front board.
The power supply has the developer overload signaling, two-colour LED was applied, green means constant voltage, the red – power supply began to limit the current.
