I installed it on my linux machine.I generated a license node locked(working on win) and keeps saying wrong host.On the pop-up that appears at startup on Current hostid says 2f which is just my last byte of mac!Lmdiag gives no problem.Any suggestion?

Same exact thing happened to me. I tried many different approaches,
and asked lots of questions here. The only solution I've found
is to run a floating license server on a Windows machine. Not the
best solution since it requires another computer, but it works!

I think the problem is that Synplicity has not genereted yet a Linux license server daemon. So, you need the second machine, which must be a Windows machine, where a license server daemon has been generated by Synplicity. You do not need a second physical machine however. You can use VMWare or Win4Lin (search the web for info) and use a virtual Windows machine within a Linux host.
