Problem with meLabs PIC programmer

Urgent Help Required

Hi,
I bought PIC programmer from meLabs . It is able to program PIC16F84 and 88,But whole I am trying to program 18F4431,it is saying that the " device doesn't match with selected device".The datasheet says it can program PIC18F4431.Anybody please please help me.
