Problem with interfacing a ADC and a DAC

hi guys..i need some help regarding the interfacing of the ADC and DAC i used. Please give me some comment on these parts that i chose whether it's compatible or not.

I got a ADC AD7706BNZ to convert the analog signal to digital..but i cant understand what the datasheet said about the register bank within the chip itself..do i need an extra microprocessor to decode and access the register?i am really confuse.
For the case of the DAC AD420AN2, how do i use this chip? To me these chip offers too many feature which in turn makes it complicated to understand..really need some guidance..please help me and give me some advice guys...cheers..

p.s i provided the datasheet for both the components i chose..please do take a look.
 

ADC & DAC help

Both need of microprocessor/controller.
It is not clear to me what you exactly don't understand. The way you can use DAC is shown in Fig. 5, or - if you want to use it as a voltage (instead of cuurent) output - Fig. 6 (with an output buffer).
