Hello evrybody waiting to log on BBFM to finish my upload I ask you this:

I tried to install ISE 4.2 on Linux but when it starts decompressing files it give me the error "Unable to decompress XXXYYY.car file".

Any ideas?

Xilinx claims it works on Linux.....I hope too........

cheers

Xilinx said it works on linux .
But I think that perhaps you must install
it on linux by use the WINE .
On the xilinx web ,some support about it .

The BB's f*p is so hard to connect .
I haven't got the software .
a pity .

Yes, it uses WINE but I still have problems.

I will tell you if I will able to lwt it works.

Cheers

XIlinx has not yet released a linux version,
command line tools may run with wine, but GUI is waste of time to run
