Hi again,

I am currently using a INA219 IC to measure the power consumption in a system. My problem is that the INA219 only has 16 usable addresses and i need 24 or more. The system has 8 modules and each module needs the power measured in three different places.

1. Is there an alternative to INA219 with a bigger address space and similar functionality?

2. Is there a similar circuit that uses different i2c addresses and can be used on the same buss as the INA219 sensors?

Thanks!

One possible commonly utilized option to alleviate I2C address conflicts or limitation is to incorporate an I2C/SMBbus multiplexer or bus switch. Several manufacturers offer such devices including TI, NXP, Linear, they can often be cascaded in order to provide a large number of independent I2C buses, typically available in 2, 4 or 8 channels and some devices also offer interrupt capabilities.
