I am trying to simulate a SIWG structure (please refer to the attached JPEG file) in hfss.
But I am getting an error " groundplane and substrate intersecting",attached hfss file
for your reference.

Please help in removing this error.

I want to know, how the excitation ports are to be defined for this structure?

Your substrate overlaps the ground plane. You can remove this error by subtracting the ground from the dielectric - don't forget to make a copy of the ground plane, though.

Thanks for pointing out the reason for error.

I could make these correction and simulate the structure.
I have attached the structure and response plot of the SIWG.
I am also attaching the hfss file, for the members interesting in this topic.

As expected the SIWG structure responded as a rectangular waveguide, with
a high pass filter like response.

Please let me know your contact id,if you are also doing research in SIWG based components,

I wish to know ,if there is any forum which have members working in the area of SIWG based
designs.
