[SOLVED] problem related to port0 of 8051

Hey guys..can anyone explain me the following sentence(in context of port0 of uC8051) :

"As an output port,each pin of port 0 can sink eight TTL inputs."

Hi,

The TTL range of chips like the 7400 +5v series need a small current to drive their inputs, about 1.6ma if I remember correctly.

A port pin 0 of the 8051 can source enough current to drive 8 input gates of the TTL chips.

See the data sheet for exact specificaion of current handling or a tutorial like this
