I am suffering from a painful problem with running matlab 6.x after I upgrade to RED-HAT LINUX 8.0. from 7.2.

Problem1: I cannot run .m file under "command window". Whenever I do this way, MATLAB would be dead.

Problem2: I cannot choose .m file from the file list. Whenever I try to pick the file that I want, MATLAB always reports "FILE not found!".

By the way, MATLAB worked fine under RED-HAT LINUX 7.x. I use the license file from this forum.

I would appreciate it if anybody have experience with tackling this issue and like to share with me.

I heard that there are some crucial bugs/error in Red Hat Linux 8.0

Why don't you install Red Hat 9.0 and try to run Matlab again?

Regards,
Laplace
