problem in serial communication with c

hai plz help me

im using c to down load hex file to flash. to interface with pc 8051 is used.
hex file is read from file and send to 8051 via serially.im facing problem here .this program is working with some old laptop with windows 95 and also in dos window. it is not working with any new pc . some data is missing while programing. wt will be the reason .and wht will be the solution . my project is pending due to this reason

Dear grittinjames,

Try to increase the delays between each command (in PC software) and check once again. If my assumption is correct, this is because of delay problem.

If problem persists, let us know the complete details of the problem.

see .this i alredy tried. i kept delay .but still problem is existing

So that we can examine that and it might be helpful for you.
Please provide the 8051 board details also.

see im working in defence department i cant send u program. im realy sorry

but memory is external and it is of 64k
in 8051 programing mode it use internal memory to write to flash .and in normal running its external memory codes .that is program which is downloaded by same 8051 will use
