i am doing a code in keil compiler for rtc using 8051 in C ,their are 16 digital inputs and 8 digital o/ps, and i have to show the counter status of each i/p pin on serial com. and used rtc for power on/off purpose means when power is off & again on then counter should start from previous ,i have learnt datasheet of ds1307& modified code so many times but i cant display the counter value on serial com .

Hi,

I didn't get time to check your code carefully. But I've done rtc using ds 1307. So I've working code of this. This might be useful to you. One more thing, you should know that ds 1307 works on bcd format. Check it out. Attachment has rtc, uart and i2c related functions. Dont focus on source file. That is only to call these functions for my use.
