Problem at launching synopsys 's design_vision

design_vision

I can launch this program only as root. Why ?

I installed the program as user and the license file locates in an user's home directory.
Before i launch design_vision, following variables are set:

SNPSLMD_LICENSE_FILE=/home/username/license/synopsys.dat
export SNPSLMD_LICENSE_FILE
PATH=/eda/synopsys/syn_2003.03/linux/syn/bin/:$PATH
export PATH

My OS is suse linux 8.1 pro.

Do anybody has the same problem ?
 

design_vision installation

If you look into Synopsys release notes, DC is only supported in RedHat7.3.

So, if you want to use higher version of linux, suggestion would be install the software in linux version7.3 and then, copy the whole installation directory intoyour linux8.1.
It should be able to solve the problem.
