Hello,
Using Altium Designer Summer 09, I am in the process of designing a custom footprint for a PCB library (file with PcbLib extension). Is there a way to print a 1:1 version of this footprint while I am designing it?
I've noticed that when designing the footprint, the File->Print Preview and File->Print options are not available, and if I type Ctrl-P on the keyboard, the software displays a dialog box informing me that "No Output Generators Installed for [PCBLIB]". Although a generic "Print Configuration for Other Outputs" dialog box is then displayed, nothing is printed.
I would like to be able to print the footprint while I am designing it so that I can check if the footprint matches up with the actual SMT component.
This was a standard design flow when I was working with Eagle CAD, but I am wondering if something similar is also available in Altium.
