Hello there can you please help me to design a pressure sensor alarm using MPX2100 and PIC16F877A and display the results on 16*2 LCD.

Thanks

I have the same design with this gentle man me the codes I am using are here I interfaced MPX2100 to an amplifier reffereing to its datasheet it gives 1mv for 1KPa and then the output of the differential amplifier is applied to an analog input of a micro controller but I am having problem of how to convert that voltage in pressure, because the sensor MPX2100GP does not start from 0 nor a fixed value but its output from the amplifiers keeps changing.

can you please help me to think on this,I was thinking to read ten successives numbers after 10ms and check the highest and lowest among them and then the difference of them be the pressure but It has been difficult for me to determine the highest and lowest in the array I get when reading on adc values for different changes I am getting.

Please help to think on this array which gives the difference(pressure).

Hai jean12,

The free-scale MPX2100 will give an output which is comparably small(due to its high pressure range) output in the pressure range. actually whats your application? if the pressure is not exceeding 10 Kpa, then try with mpx5010 instead of 2100. but it purely depends upon your application.

please post your code and schematics so that we can help you better

I can't find MPX5010,which any other element can I use for sensing pressure.(for example to sense a pressure applied on a push button,a switch just the simple thing like that.)

Thanks.

what you mean by not found? are you telling about the part? freescale sensors are the best option for pressure measurements.

Yeah I can't find that sensor in my country it can take me more than six months to order from Freescale.

Please help.

Thanks.
