Hello guys,

I need to use 1.0um DMOS process from XFAB to design a step-up boost converter (1.5V -to- 5V).
I understand that the minimum operating voltage of this process is 5V.
Is there method to design this boost converter by using single 1.5V supply?
Please advice.

regards,
Kumar

As you'll probably know, XFAB's XDH10 is a very high voltage process (trench isolation, up to 650V). However, with threshold voltages <|1V| for the lower voltage transistors it should be possible to work with a (start-up?) power supply of 1.5V.

As always, the best info comes from the fab itself. Ask them!
