Dear collegues,

I need to measure Beta gain of several power transistors TIP35C, TIP3055G to find the better mactch to each one. I have tried Beta meter scale of my DMM without success. Can anyone help me with this task or a Power Transistor Beta Meter?

Happy new year to all of you.

Hi,

if you want a "match" for a "specific application" .. I recommend to do the gain test at the operating point / conditions of the application.

Especially:
* bias current
* frequency

Mind that the transistor values vary with temperature, thus make sure all transistors have settled to the same temperature before testing.
