hi forum
i want to make a switch that when connect 220v ac ,it create a delay about 500ms and then connect 220v ac to a ac motor.
i want to the circuit be passive and has not a dc supply.(similar dimer).
start current is about 15 a and normal current is 5 a
i want know that is there a triac to it's characteristic
plz hlp me

Hi
Your answer is very simple . why you don't try with thyristors or triacs or GTO s , if you don't want to use DC supply (you can find them in your characteristics and in cheaper price) or in simple step you can use this circuit as well as: when you give your pwm to g1 into its source, you should give its not , to the g2 into its source. thus you can control your motor as well as . if Duty cycle become 50 percent your output can become maximum.
and you should avoid to put a squirrel cage motor in your out put!
