I borrowed a
MICRO-TIG DUAL ARC 82 HFP and somehow I fell in love.
Due to the price and availability in my country, I do not want to buy it, but I would like to take it as a toy and try my own design.
Last but not least, he can't do everything I could imagine.
My idea from the end
- I'll omit the burner and throttle control, it's actually just a servo valve and a float flow meter
-
HF ignition high voltage source approx. 6000V and a large (HC) coil on which HV is mixed to the output voltage
-
Pulse control and polarity rotation (aluminum welding) - Full H bridge controlled by a processor, DC input with today's transistors should not be too late to get to a resistance in the order of 2mOhms for the whole bridge. I don't see a problem with that.
-
Current source 0.1-80A, approx. 2kW. Madness strikes me here, I sometimes panic to depression..
a) take 160A TIG Chinese source and use it as pruning source and do its own control
b) use a 400V / 80V transformer (I have it) and 3 to 4 step converters in parallel to it.
c) c) construct its own resource. I probably won't be able to do it without any clue, I have no experience with it and so I'm afraid that I will destroy many harsh MOSFETs or IGBTs. I have an EE100 core with G44 magnetics (Al 7100
[nH])
I welcome a link to some source and similar construction. On the other hand, I am afraid of this, I see structures built like willow nests, which switch even higher performances.
Simply advise
