I have ZYBO 7Z020 development board without Xilinx power supply.
Now I need to power up the board with wall power supply instead of USB cable. I just have look at the specification of the power supply which is 5 V and 2.5 A. I have 5 V power supply adapter in the lab that delivers up to 4.5 A. Can I use this adapter to power up ZYBO ?
I also need to know which connector is used on the ZYBO development board. What is the name of the connector, as I need to replace the connector on the 5 V 4.5 A power supply adapter to match with connector on ZYBO.
the specification is 5V at 2.5 A, and your supply is 5V at 4.5 A
this should work.
The voltages have to match
the board will draw the current it needs, so the supply current should equal of be a little larger than the requirement.
you have the board, so you have the connector you need to mate with.
do the internet search.
if you're stuck, or aren't sure, post a picture of the connector on your board.
But you need to make sure that the 4.5A current source will not damage the board PS ckt. If you are working in a elec lab. does it not have a regulated varibale DC supply equipment? With such a device you can fix its o/p voltage to be 5V and vary the current to be a LITTLE more than 2.5A.
Hi,
My main concern is the name of the connector because I need to buy the same connector and then I need to mount on the power supply adapter that is rated for 5 V at 4.5 A.
