Power supply 0-30V 0-3A from www.electronics-lab.com

It’s a very famous project from https://www.electronics-lab.com/projects/power/003/index.html Construction was tested many times by many users that’s the reason I choose it. Measuring instrument ICL7107 is also not anything new, I used project from https://www.elektroda.pl/rtvforum/topic893344-0.html. But I still want to share the project because of some interesting solutions:

I used two 2N3055 with two radiators and additionally ventilator with slow rpm. I think that there is no need to complicate system by putting thermostat (especially that costs would rise). Thanks to all upper radiators don’t get heat despite of voltage changes.
I didin’t have transformer that could work with that device. I didin’t wan’t to buy any, a few visits in computer shop, connections and I got a few UPS with transformers. Transformer generate voltages 2x8V and 16V to get 24V enough was to connect two pieces in right way and I got one extra 8V for measurements device and ventilator and symmetric 15V ( without filtration)
Amperometer I plugged via by – pass 0.01ohm and it is powered with voltmeter by stabilizer 5V. Measure devices wasn’t easy to start, firstly I wanted to put Electronics Lab constructions, but they doesn’t work property so I put a pair of ICL – no problem with them.
Casing is based on particle boards from some furniture, I’m not carpenter so constructions is not perfect. Front panel I cut from plexiform from LCD monitor, I’m going to place some decals on it.
Building the power supply I wanted to cut the costs, most of elements I got from stripping. Most expensive elements were ICL and potentiometers so know you can see how cheap construction is.

Power supply 0-30V 0-3A from www.electronics-lab.com

That power supply project has many errors. Many of its parts are overloaded including its transformer, its opamps operate at a supply voltage that is higher than their max allowed voltage and it does not give 30VDC at 3A.

We fixed it in the forum there.
