Will connector sdissipate power?

If yes, what be the power dissipation level?

yes..connectors dissipate power ..........because connectors are having some resistance......and dissipate power in the form of heat ........
dissipation level depend upon the current rating and for which application you are using .......

a new connector dissipating power means something wrong with the connector.

an in use one , means contact resistance have crept in . must clean it.

ideally , no power dissipation but for very high current levels , you cannot call it as dissipation but slight warming .
but even that is to be avoided.

Energy Loss in Electrical Connectors on Power Lines

Energy losses in tap connectors used in distribution systems
**broken link removed**

In rf connectors additionally occurs rf-radiation losses and losses due to impedance mismatching

the dissipation will depend on the voltage drop across the connector if you check the voltage difference across the connector and having known the rms current on the wire you can find the resistance caused by the connector and hence can calculate the power dissipation i.e. Voltage squre/Resistnce

Hi,
What type of connector you are using and what is the current rating of the circuit?
