Hi friends,

i need help to calculate the Power dissipation from a Power Switch (MosFet).

I need help in Turn on and Turn off calculation !!

Thank you

Regards

Ps=1/2*Vd*Io*Fs*(tc(on)+tc(off))
Pon=Ron*Io^2*ton/T

tc -> turn on and off time
Ps -> switching losses
Pon -> power on losses

I think it is very hard to get the value with high precision. Because the switching losses depend on the topology, driving circuits, temperature, and the type of the mosfet. Some one using oscillograph to get the current and voltage waveforms, then get the loss value. But it is still not good enough.

III,
Do u have checked the date of the post u r replying to???
it is on the top of each post!

There is nothing wrong with adding new information to old topics. People use the search feature to find the answers many months after the posts are done.
