It is a power amplifier 2x150W based on hybrid STK4048II. It consists of two separate monoblocks with protection systems. Supply is provided by a common power supply with softstart for transformer. There is no preamplifier, but potentiometers for input signal level adjustment.
The construction is based on PCBs from Altron:
- AL-14 amplifier STK40xx
- AL-24 speakers protection system
- AL-01 power supply for high power amplifier
- AL-33 transformer softstart system
In addition there is a module which consists of two independent thermostats for cooling fans of heat sinks, powered directly from AL-01 power supply.
Chassis was made of housing from Diora deck strengthened from the bottom with 1,5mm aluminum sheet for better rigidity. Front panel was made of the same sheet polished along in one direction. Original cover, which is not shown in the pictures, was also polished in the same way and painted with transparent varnish.
I/O connectors were made of XLR sockets (Cannon). Two of them are the outputs, two of them are inputs for signals (right and left separately) and additional one socket as stereo input.
Power sockets have filter and safety fuse. The transformer has 350W and 2x36V.
