PMDC Motor Controller....what should be input to it?

I am using a PMDC motor of .5hp, 24V for which i have found a controller SPD-SD400 Installation and Wiring
I have confusion about what should be the input to throttle control given in it.........
please help!

Throttle Connector

(red and black wires) = hall sensor supply voltage , potentiometer lo pin / hi pin (5V ± .5V)
(green and black wires) = hall sensor signal , potentiometer mid pin (0.5V - 4V, ± 0.5V)

Other wires not known.
