You sure there is no 3rd pin in this thing??? It could be a diode. N15H is not its component marking. Can you provide a complete image of the circuit board from both sides???

hi yes definitely has only two pins there are two others on this board n25w and n38w i have mark wear they are on the photoDSC02715.JPGDSC02716.JPGDSC02717.JPG

here some more photos to help

Its a huge circuit.. Its hard to track with whom the device is connected. But any such transistor like thing with only 2 pins are diodes. Either a simple forward diode, a photo transistor, a temperature sensor, etc. For example, MV2101, a simple forward transistor, but in TO92 package. There's no option for it to be something else. If you have a multimeter, set it to continuity testing mode and put the probes in the pins. And also check the other way by changing the pins. If any one condition shows some continuation, and another shows complete discontinuation, then for sure, its a diode.

onthe PCB i feel reading it as ICP-N15
if so the datasheet says it is a protection device.
take the datasheet from here and go through
including legend or marking.

all the best

hi thanks for all your help
yes it is a protection device a fuse
i have found the part on eBay and order it
i can now get this board working
