Hi everyone,
I have a problem here related to OSI physical layer.
Now all of us know that, Ethernet standard defines DATA LINK LAYER(DLL) as well as PHYSICAL LAYER(PHY) specifications both together, with PHY specs consisting of all standard cabling to be used.
But still I want to use a 115 kbps(or any arbitrary speed<1 Mbps) physical channel at PHY, and with Ethernet sitting at DLL, which the 802.3 standard says nothing about.
Is it possible to do like this? or some other alternative?
So techies, please help me with your knowledge
