Hi all !

I am wondering if any of you have been using PIN diode circuits as variable attenuators...

The actual question is whether or not the diode's behavior as a variable resistance (which is exploited in the variable attenuator) is very sensitive to temperature variations...

In the HSMP-381x diode (Agilent) there's the following attached plot in which for a constant bias current the variation with temperature is small...

Any technical experience on this matter would be helpful !

TIA

mogwai.

in fact it is not very sensitive to the temperature, but if you want very linear relations between the control voltage and the attenuation is not easy!so i advise you shoose the skyworks production or hittite production as the attenuator
