Piher resistors and trimpots

Carbon resistors: carbon layer on ceramic substrate
Metal film resistors: metal layer on substrate
Metal oxide resistors: non linear resistors for some application. E.g. TV degaussing resistor, electonic fuses....

What is the difference between a piher trimpot and a carbon trimpot?
I'm using PIHER trimpots since I was a school boy and didn't notice a difference yet. Do you have any indications that there should be a difference?

I have no idea FvM - that is why I have decided to find out.

I have a fairly clear idea of the differences between carbon resistor, metal oxide resistors, metal film resistors and wire wound resistors. But Piher resistors represent an unfilled gap in my knowledge.
