My mate's just told me he's about to make one of these so I'd like to share the photo's of mine, I'm in a show-and-tell mood today now!
Hopefully we'll have loads more fun with an increase of 3 fold in memory space (over what we have been playing with) as a result!!! I hope I'll get someone some practical electronics practice so they've got it mastered and you know, we might end up fighting skynet together!!! LoL

16f88 at its simplest, but one is overclocked at 23Mhz and still bang on!!!

Hopefully my mate Thilina'll post his version on here 5000 miles away!

This is the drawing I sent him and has made my day by nipping to the chip-shop to get the bits!!! (Thanks matey, always good hear from you bud)

Best regards
NEAL

The big silver thing with the sticker on is just a DC-DC converter I scrapped out of something, the "88 32khz" sticker goes with the chip, for some reason it'd only run at 32khz internally clocked (would just lock at the OSCCON change and jump to fail-safe-clock (32Mhz again), but works bang on at 23Mhz running on a crystal...! ?

No way, more PIC16 but this is a 40pin-er...! Mandatory crystal (No intOsc on 877a) but I can feel an LED Cube coming on out of this board!!!
