PIC Moving display system

Hello, I am interested in doing a moving message display using LEDs eventhough it is an outdated idea.Can anybody helpme by suggesting some sourses

yeah see my design at . i used atmel chip but it can easily be
replaced by pic or whatever. the software is written in C
, easy portable with minor changes if u wanna use different mcu
, display is controlled via pc keyboard and lcd display.
there are few pictures there as well so u can see it running.
