Hello experts , I have an old pickit2 programmer ,I am trying to burn a hex code to the Pic16f877a.

The whenever I load the hexa code by clicking write button ,the Pickit2 shows successfully burned ..
If I read it again it shows the hex ,.

But the problem is whenever I reconnect USB of the Pickit 2,
And reads the hex code which is empty.

Why the Pic16f877A is not burn properly .
Is it Pickit2 problem .

Check the program memory protection bit.

CPD: Data Code Protection bit(2)
1 = Data memory code protection is disabled
0 = Data memory code protection is enabled

Check the meaning of this bit from an upcoming datasheet.
