PIC C compilers for midrange processors

pic midrange processors

Hi All
I'm looking for some expert opinion abt using pic C compilers. there are various cross compilers availabe right now.. i've never use PIC processor before but now i've got ICD to start some project. What is the best cross compiler to start with. in past i used mcs-51 uc with keil compilers.. is there any pic compiler available with the keil standard.. complete ide with simulation..debugging etc..

midrange compiler

I would recommend the CCS PIC C compiler (it's almost 100% ANSI compatible) but its really good. In this compiler you don't worry about allocation of variables, its almost like writing code for an MS-DOS system.

Iam write some programs in Small ANSI C and recomended the I!A!R IDE, in my opinion, the best ANSI C compiler for PIC family...

Hey guys, don't forget Hi-Tech PICC compiller. Is realy the best. CCS is for amateurs and is full of bugs.
