[PIC] PIC 16F690 C compiler

XC8 and Hi-Tech PICC Compilers work in Free mode. You need MPLAB or MPLAB X IDE which is free. These PIC C Compilers can be downloaded from Microchip.

a general answer:

If one needs some informations, support, software, driver or similar: It is always a good start to go the the manufacturers internet sites.

They are interested that one uses their parts, so they will give you informations and support.
Often they refer to related third party software, or they refer to other internet sites and forums.
