what are contentions dxp

I'm frustrated from protel DXP (SP2).

With the version SE99 (SP6) protel can route my board complete (15min/Celeron 1200).
DXP need 2 hours and has 8 unrouted net and 18 contentions.

I need a special adjustment in option menu ??

D*P is very big and need of all resource. You need much more power in terms of resources respect P99se for the same work.
I've a P3 1GHz with about 300Meg ram and it work fine!
Pay much attention to set right rules!

I was a P99se user for 3 years for professiona use and for me D*P is really powerfull.

i am quite happy with protel dxp. in fact i have even poeted one or two design from orcad to protel for pcb layout and it works fine.
