I am trying to design the split ring resonator proposed in Electromagnetic parameter retrieval from inhomogeneous metamaterials i.e FIG-2 of the paper in HFSS-11.After simulation though magnitude response of S11 and S21 parameter is getting a exact match but phase response of S11 and S21 is not matching. Can any body suggest me where i am going wrong?I had attached both hfss file and the paper which i am following.

Thanks

I am not getting any response............I could not able to understand the cause of this difference.Any suggestion will be of great help.
Thanks.

De-embed your top and bottom Floquet ports to the top and bottom of the unit cell respectively. You want the phase of r and t at these interfaces as they are the reference planes for the equations used.

Thanks for your response.I solved my problem.Actually phase response which i got during simulation is not different w.r.t the result in the paper .In the paper the given phase response is unwrapped version and simulated result is wrapped version.I unwrap the phase response obtained through simulation in matlab and then plot it.I got exact match with the paper.

can you explain in detail.....i haven't understand
