hello,

just wanted to run something by i case i'm missing something obvious,

i've got a small 24 volt BLDC motor (3 phase) that is fed from an allegro micro driver chip which in turn is fed from a lab power supply.

The power supply is set at 15 volts and the current is 312 mA

but when i use a clamp ammeter on each phase i'm measuring 1 A on each phase

how can this be?

many thanks for any input

To understand the drivers power balance, you need to measure also the motor voltage and the real power delivered to the motor.
