Hi,

I have some doubts.

consider a pci bus in which the devices are connected ,say D1 & D2,through the host, then in case if the device D1 wants to transfer some data to D2 configured in the bus than...

1.how does the device D1 knows the presence of device D2 in the bus.???

2.If D1 knows its presence ,will the details regarding the D2 will be available on the register of the D1.??

3.Also will there be any intervention of the host in this transcation..??

Can just explain me these questions and also the concept involved in the identification of the devices by other devices configured in the bus.

Thanks & Regards,
G Rajaraman
