printed coil antenna

what are the advantages and disadvantages of these types of antennas. for a short range only between 1-10 meters.

thanks in advance.

coil antenna vs pcb antenna

Because of its simple geometry, the printed antenna offers many attractive advantages, such as low profile, light weight, easy fabrication, integrability with microwave and millimeter-wave integrated circuits, and conformability to curved surfaces.
Among these advantages, conformability is the most important to future applications of printed antennas.
A disadvantage of printed antennas is the influence of the substrate on the performances.
