Dear Team,

What are the things to be checked in a PCB layout in an SI viewpoint.

Regards

Solution
Most of SI awareness is achieved in circuit design: Selecting suitable components, chosing circuit topologies, transmission line impedances and termination schemes. What's left over for layout phase?

- stack-up construction and implementation of traces with designed or even controlled impedance. (The latter involves impedance measurement and parameter adjustment in PCB production)
- check that transmission lines are embedded by continuous planes
- check transmission line topologies and correct placement of termination (supported by from-to constraints in modern layout tools)
- check cross-talk rules

A great book suggested by Edaboard member marce: Howard W. Johnson, Martin Graham HIGH-SPEED DIGITAL DESIGN - A Handbook of...
Hi,

A rather vague question.
There are many documents in the internet. Please go through some of them, then please ask a more detailed question.
