I m working on drawing a pcb for an IC. I have the following questions to ask.

A. Which pcb track width to use to be able to support 5A current

B. How to know if the ic footprint is drawn to ACTUAL SIZE when is made?

I m using proteus ares. Thanks.

**broken link removed**

you can study this video tutorial

moreover while exporting your design there is a scale option . if you put scale =1 that mean actual size.

Use data sheet for PCB footprint design, cross check multiple times....!!
16 mill width will do the job for that current!!!

Hi, what is the mm or inch size for 16 mil width? Also when i project the pcb at 100%, its like impossible to see the footprint's tracks. I told myself this is because the ic is also very small.( its a BQ24650 ic) and i am doing it correctly.

Thanks.

Google it and convert mil to whatever unit you want!!!
Leave zooming 100% or whatever... just follow the datasheets size for footprint!!!
as long as you followed it correctly it wont't create problems!!!
