Hi all,

I've just finished my design and sent to PCB manufacturing house.
They have build the PCBs, but at pick&place time they are having some troubles with placement.
I sent a placement.txt file, exported from: File -> Export -> Placement.
This seems to be not enough, as they are asking me a 'topographical map with polarities', because they are not able to assemble the PCB.
Also they don't know which is the PCB origin.

How could I generate this 'map'? Or a complete ASCII file with PCB origin, components coordinates and angles?

* I'm working with OrCAD v16.

Kind Regards.

Assembly drawing is what they want, they have just used silly fancy language (for whatever reason).
If your design has fidusials on it ( and it should) they should be able to re-align the pick and place co-ordinates using a fidusial as a reference point, every assembly dept. or company I have worked with has been able to do this.
