Hello ,

A component was with Pb in first generation. In second generation now the component is pb free.

What are the Tests(performance and validation......) needed to determine the performance of Asic?

how the circuit will be effected?

As far as i know there is no change in performance of Asic.

AFAIK for ASICs (generally for ICs) Pb/Pb-free only concerns the tinning of the pins: if the IC pins are tinned (not all ICs have tinned pins: this depends on the package used), Pb-free ICs are tinned with Pb-free tin solder.

That's the only difference - so no performance/test differences. They just need a higher soldering temperature resp. a different soldering procedure.
