I am investigating the following topic for my project, If anyone has an idea about it could you please help me?

(1) Channel
(2) Delay in the MAC
(3) Modulation schemes -- High order QAM at higher SNR

To increase the data rate,

you can reduce the security (change the coding rate)
QPSK Modulation
Use multiple channelisation codes (multiple channels)
change spreading factor
