Hello,

I use eagle 6.5.0 (cost me GBP900) but just downloaded the free version of eagle (7.1.0) to use to view and edit a junior's work (he did it in 7.1.0)
I keep on getting the message, do i want to overwrite the epf file?
I keep saying no, but what is an epf file, and what happens if I overwrite it?

Why don't you review the user manual? Purpose of *.epf is clearly mentioned therein.

thanks, I see it mentioned, but I can not find it in the route folder, and I am not sure whether overwriting it is safe...apparently it contains all the settings, but I have been unaware of it.

As far as I see, *.epf files are purely project specific. There's no general *.epf file.
