I need to create a project in which the microcontroller will be programmed over the air.

I need any clues/suggestions how to do it. For example i suppose i would need to use a gsm module for establish a connection to microcontroller? i need to sent the code to microcontroller ?
 

you could use a GSM to set up a connection and then use a serial boot loader to program the sevice - have a look at

you would have to be careful in case the connection is lost half way thru
e.g. copy the hex into FRAM, check it then use the boot loader to program it??
